The California Music Teacher magazine is the official journal of the Music Teachers' Association of California. Issues of the magazine include feature articles, regular columns on Books & Recordings, Composition, New Music Reviews, and Pedagogy, and coverage of the annual MTAC state convention. As a reference journal, CMT seeks well-written, appealing articles that offer original perspectives to its readership. The mission of the Music Teachers’ Association of California is to promote excellence in the music teaching profession. MTAC accomplishes this goal through high membership standards, strong ethical values, and continuing professional education. To this end, the California Music Teacher magazine serves as an up-to-date source of pedagogical information.
