About MTAC - News and Events
The state board of directors is elected biannually, and new directors are installed at the convention in odd-numbered years.
MTAC is made up of more than 60 branches statewide.

The purpose of the Community Outreach Program is to give the individual MTAC branches an opportunity to "Reach Out" into their communities. Each branch has an opportunity to choose a project that will fit their branch and their communities unique needs
MTAC holds a convention every year in late June/early July. The venue alternates between Northern California and Southern California. The convention showcases presentations by internationally and nationally known artists and lecturers, materials from well-known pedagogues, masterclasses in all instruments and voice, and a showcase for outstanding students at all levels.
