What is the MTAC Awards Program?

The Scrapbooks and Awards Program is designed to recognize outstanding branches and individual private studios of MTAC in the following categories:

  • Branch Scrapbooks
  • Branch Yearbooks/Directories
  • Branch Newsletters
  • Branch Websites
  • Branch Recital Programs
  • Individual Private Studio Websites *New Category for 2008*
  • Individual Private Studio Recital Programs
  • Other Published Materials, including flyers, brochures, and individual private studio newsletters

MTAC branches and individual private studios are invited to submit entries in one or more categories. Entries are sent to the Scrapbooks and Awards Program Chair, except for scrapbooks, which are brought to the State Convention for judging.

All participants and winners receive certificates and ribbons, and winning entries are showcased at the State Convention. The scrapbook entries and remaining participants' entries placed in folders are displayed on tables near the winners' showcase.

All Sweepstakes Awards are presented at the State Convention Awards Banquet.

The Scrapbooks and Awards Program is seeking interested judges to evaluate entries for 2008.

Requirements:

  • Be available sometime between June 1 and June 15 to judge yearbooks/directories, newsletters, and other published materials in Southern California.
  • And/Or
  • Attend the 2008 State Convention in Riverside and be available (at your convenience) to judge scrapbooks sometime between June 28 and June 29.

Perks:

  • Receive 1 free ticket per judge to the Awards Banquet held on June 30 at the 2008 State Convention in Riverside.
  • Gain insight into the awards process and valuable tips on producing a superior entry.
  • Find inspiration and new ideas to bring to your branch and individual private studio publications.
