Friends of Today's Music
Friends of Today's Music was established in 1986. With a firm commitment to the music of our time, and indeed to the future of classical music, FOTM has sponsored the creation of a wide variety of significant works, written especially for students by many of today's leading, internationally renowned composers. In honor of the 100th anniversary of MTAC in 1997, Friends of Today's Music commissioned Samuel Adler to compose a Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, which was given its world premiere performance at the 1997 Centennial Convention in San Francisco.
