Each year MTAC hosts the State Convention, bringing together world-class artists, music educators and students to celebrate music performance and composition. Over 4,000 attendees experience a four-day extravaganza filled with seminars, performances, recitals, presentations, and master classes.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received in writing by email to convention@mtac.org by June 5, 2026 will receive a full refund minus a $50.00 cancellation fee per registrant. Refunds are unavailable after June 5, 2026.

Do I need to have a ticket to view a recital Yes, the MTAC Convention is a ticketed event and all guests must have a valid pass to attend any Recital, Convention Session, or Master Class.
Can I apply to perform at a recital or Master Class? All Convention Recitals and Master Classes are exclusive to the Students who participate in the MTAC programs during the year and meet the eligibility requirements.
How do I know when my student is performing? The Convention Recital Schedule will be published on May 15. Parents and Teachers can log into their applications and view the information on the Event Results page.
